Project One

First day in graphics and we are thrown straight into a project, rather simple but the results are astonishing. I didnt think i could of put ideas and designs down onto paper in such a short time but even though the sketches are rough. It really does show you that i can get ideas to paper fast.

We had around 4 minutes per sketch to get our ideas down onto paper using a different medium each time. Im going to upload a few of the images for you to view.

 This is one of the first mages we were asked to draw, a self portrait of ourselves. I decided to keep a uncoloured skin tone because people normally recognise me by my eyes apparently and tried to incorporate this into the image.

The reason i added the red to the image is to try and make the blue pop.

  

 We was then asked to draw our favorite item of clothing. To be perfectly honest i dont really have a favorite item of clothing. I decided to draw a pair of trainers i was wearing at the time which i practically live in due to the comfort of them. i struggling trying to add the shading and details neccesary for this image in the short amount of time we had.    

I was pleased with this image more then any over. ok so it dont look like a spitting image of Jack but everyone can recogonise him. That to me makes this image a success.

When i think of a piece of artwork that i can remeber and instantly see in my head is scream, i am unsure of who the artist is i think its Edvard Munch, even still i can remember some of the colours and the way the image is layed out. Is it a exact replica? No but its recognisable instantly.

Trying to make people aware of your favourite animal in a quick doodle is rather a hard thing todo, espically if your like me and cant draw very well. i decided on a sea horse, reason being is that the shape of the seahorse is recognisable to everyone and the details are few and far between.

When i was asked to draw what i loved and hate i was left sitting for a minute of the 4 i was allowed.  What exactly do i love? I love makeing cocktails and Disney films. weird combination maybe. The hate section was a lot more straight forward, i am  not a lover of dark places, i like to anaylise all areas and be aware.
